SER Group included in all 4 content platform segments, new analyst report says

(March 30, 2021 - Bonn) SER Group announces inclusion in market analyst firm Forrester Research’s report, ‘Now Tech: Content Platforms, Q1 2021’*, which lists 38 content platform providers based on their capabilities, vertical focus and size. The report includes the SER Group as one of six providers in all four functionality segments within one platform.

The newly published report from Forrester Research is geared to help enterprise architecture professionals understand the value they can expect from a content platform provider and select one based on capabilities, vertical focus and size.

The report identifies the SER Group as a provider that meets the capabilities of all four functionality segments:

  • Collaborative content services (CCS) bolster employee productivity and cover internal and external collaboration capabilities. They also include content repository functionalities, metadata capabilities, and information governance.
  • Transactional content services (TCS) support automated processes that can scale. They cover data capture and extraction, process design and development tools, intelligent processes and process automation.
  • Multitenant cloud content platforms (MT) cover cloud delivery, a cloud-native architecture and cloud deployments for a modern content platform, delivering faster time-to-market and flexibility in deploying new solutions, features and functionalities.
  • Federation and integration services (FIS) enable access to content across multiple repositories. Federation and integration are possible without the need to migrate content from legacy systems.

Fast-tracking digital business with an intelligent content platform

Dr. Gregor Joeris, CTO of the SER Group, comments: “We believe that our unified platform for content, process, collaborative and cognitive services delivers the full capabilities our customers need to meet today's demands of the digital workplace with intelligent information and process management. With over 40 ready-to-run solutions for numerous use cases, verticals and horizontals, our customers have a quick, low-code means of fast-tracking digital business.”

From our perspective, enterprise architecture professionals are simultaneously handling several content-related demands, e.g. to streamline and automate content creation, collaboration, governance and delivery. To unleash the full potential of a content platform, the SER Group urges decision-makers to ensure that their platform is cohesively designed, optionally cloud-native, offers AI capabilities, hosts a broad set of functionalities and provides relevant solution applications.

Dr. Joeris adds: “As we see it, the SER Group offers customers complete flexibility, scalability and security to run their solutions in the cloud, on-premises or a combination of both. We can easily bridge the requirements of distributed teams and remote or hybrid workplaces that are becoming increasingly widespread. With embedded AI, our platform empowers customers to tap the value of their content for better and smarter business insights and decisions.”
