Generate new momentum and shape the future. As Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at SER, 55-year-old Zeitzen can turn ideas into successful actions — and use this to build on the SER Group's success. Two things are particularly important to him in his work: listening to people and actively shaping growth.
"I'm excited to be working with the whole team at SER to take the company into its next phase of growth and expand its market-leading position," says Stefan Zeitzen. The Dusseldorf-based manager is known for his keen hands-on mentality, team spirit and authoritative expertise in international marketing and sales.
"I've held various positions in technology, marketing and sales, eventually working my way up to senior management level. Altogether, I have amassed over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing. This background has taught me how to best leverage the potential for synergies between the two areas," says Stefan Zeitzen.
Before joining SER, Zeitzen was Vice President of the Automation business unit with Computer Associate (CA) Technologies. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as Senior Vice President Sales & Services with Automic/UC4. The Austrian software company was taken over by CA in 2017. Zeitzen began his sales career with US network specialists, Novell.
Crossing the finish line together
Stefan Zeitzen is particularly impressed by SER's product, its closeness to customers and its innovativeness. Alongside keeping an eye on the figures, he attaches great importance to understanding people's individual viewpoints. That's why one of his top priorities is maintaining open lines of communication with employees. "Everyone has a unique bank of knowledge and experience. This is what really fascinates me, because it's something I can learn from. For me, listening to my colleagues' different perspectives and putting them together to form a complete picture is key," says Zeitzen, when describing his philosophy. "We can use this basis to take our company forward. And in parallel I can also help my colleagues to develop and grow." This is why Stefan Zeitzen likes to work at different locations; it gives him the opportunity to touch base with many more employees in the SER offices. "Anyone is welcome to drop by — my door is always open for a coffee and chat."
